AD or Warden for EDC

What Tony G said- My AD was my favorite- until I got my Meaner!

Interesting comment Dunner and well advised. I always carry a wharncliff type folder for intricate work and rotate a few in my edc. I'll probably end up with both the AD and then a Warden. I guess I like looking at the geometry and overal design of the AD a little better. No problem buying something just because the way it looks? So, for this reason alone, I cant go wrong.

The AD is sweet for sure :D I couldn't stay faithful to the GW myself and had to have an AD myself (Heavy Duty version). It's an awesome little knife and definitely a looker.

im in the minority. i edc an oj warden.

i prefer the shorter blade, and overall shorter knife for edc.

but i'll probably switch to the cultellus when it gets here.

Heres some of my EDC sized blades.

Couldn't wait for the right AD, got a Black Tie Satin first. The .14 blade seems to be the right thickness for my use. Thanks again.

Personally I've always been more partial to the blade on the AD and the handle on the Warden. Between the two, the Warden carries the best on my belt, doesn't dig into my side or anything when I move while the AD does. Because of that I've adjusted to the blade on the Warden and now carry it because of it's all around comfort. The best warden HANDS DOWN is the OJ warden! :D

I prefer my GW LE for legal pocket carry day-to-day around town and at home - but it's the AD with its slightly better grip and longer blade that I wear on my belt whenever I head into the woods. Both are excellent EDC choices, just slightly different applications - so get BOTH!

I prefer the game warden. I actually traded my '07 ADSE for my OJ warden and have never regretted it. (What?!!) I never used the AD, and I use the OJ all the time. I'm EDCing a Scrofa now though. Still waiting for my Cultellus!

My fixed blade EDC is the Active Duty. I prefer the slightly longer AD blade and handle to the Game Warden. I thought I would prefer the Meaner for the same reason, but I find the Meaner just a bit too pointy, and I prefer the AD's smaller pommel.

The slightly longer handle on the AD is also a big plus to me. It puts the AD in a league above the GW.

The 0.140" AD is IMO the best Busse ever made. There is nothing about the AD I don't like.

Same here, except mine is DC/SS. Early Custom Shop and I've seen more of the Satins than the DC's.

A real slice-o-matic!
