I just received the AD 10 & the AD15.

AD10: the handle is comfortable, albeit a bit too small - would be better suited for girly men with smaller hands, granted, I am comparing it to the handle on the 4-Max. The blade is perfectly centered and deploys very smoothly. It's nice and sharp, but could do with a little stropping.

AD15: the texture on the handle is a bit too rough for my liking, but absolutely usable. The blade is perfectly centered and deploys smoothly. The Scorpion lock does take a little getting used to, especially since I've only used the Tri-Ad lock the last 10 years or so.

They are both very capable knives, that I'm certain I will enjoy tremendously.

I dont have the ad10 yet. do have the ad15 and 4max. im real tempted to add the ad10. probably will. I have little hands like a small girl so I'll probably be okay.:p

how is the clip and texture on the ad10...any need to do any improvements to it for no pocket snagging , two hand needs to take out or put in pocket, or pocket shredding?.........or did cold steel get it right? thanks.

I am also interested in whether there is any textured to the AD10 or if it is completely smooth. Also, how is the action? Smooth and easy to operate?

I have girly hands so it should fit me perfectly!

Lol. I have large hands and the AD-10 fits me like a glove. Maybe comparing it to the 4-Max, one of the largest production knives ever made, isn't exactly fair?

That, or your hands are like Andre the Giant's. Or you frequently two-hand your folders?

My fingers are squished and since the choil is so small it's useless, the handle is, for me at least, too small.

That's probably because your hands look like they're XL. I wear a large size glove and they fit the handle like it was fitted for me.

In any case, the grippable area and handle size is significantly larger than a lot of moderately sized folders.

Thanks for this info. Means the AD10 is going to be on the tight side for my hands as well. Will go with the AD15 then first until I can handle the AD10 in person.

I am new to the board. I just purchased the AD10. It should arrive Thursday. I usually carry the Rajah II in my left front pocket and a Kimber K6S in my right front pocket. The AD10 will be in my right rear pocket for back up and routine work.

I forgot to mention that I blame all you guys : ) I kept reading all the remarkable things about this knife. My Spyderco Police started getting some vertical blade play, so it was inevitable. My Police is up for sale and has been replaced. I am a huge CS fan. Especially with Triad locks.

I know everyone likes to criticize Lynn Thompson. Not me. I took his 2 day knife fighting class about 17 years ago. I love his enthusiasm for what he does and his willingness and courage to speak his mind.

But, I still blame you guys for making me buy this : ) Unfortunately, I am afraid the 4Max is next.

I'm also new. I have an AD10 on the way too, should be here Tuesday.
I Have large to extra large hands, so I hope it fits me well.
I'm a Cold Steel fan, and love Demkos designs, so I had to get a AD10 since I already have a few of his CS models,
but expect this to be something close to a custom, which would be great, or similar to ZT in quality.
I will keep you'll posted.
