Got the AD10 today.
Where to start...
Quality is very good for a $150 knife, so it is a good deal for what youre getting.
Blade centering is perfect.
Action is twice as good as any other CS I have handled.
Lock bar isn't too stiff, press it, give it a slight wiggle and the blade drops.
I even tightened up the pivot a bit, and its super solid with smooth action.
I would say its about twice the effort of my ZT0550, and I believe its just the triadlock tension.
I always take some tension out of the spring on my CS knives, but feel this one may stay as is... maybe
You can spidy flick it with ease.
Blade shape, grind, finish is very good, love the satin grind (so glad its not stonewash)
Handle is just right for my hands, so anyone with large to extra large hands should be good,
but any bigger your fingers may get a bit cramped front to rear.
Handle is very ergonomic with a very solid purchase, also the kinda ugly pocket clip just falls in your palm,
as a good clip should, and complements the handle shape and grip, which is a rare thing, I love it.
The clip is one thing I will modify, as I don't care for its bulky looks.
The pocket clip screws thread into the aluminum liners about a 1/16" inch, which worries me a bit.
I did have to take the clip off and adjust the tension on it as it was about 70% as tight as most CSs, still a bit much for me.
The thing that surprised me was the G10, not only does it have very good 3D, but it is smooth with just enough light texture,
the handle is very comfortable, no hot spots, very impressive!
The jimping is pretty smooth and not very useful.
Thumb studs are good and enable you to flick it with ease, and I'm not a big thumb stud guy.
I actually wish it had a wave plate.
Front choil will only be useful to girlymen with thin fingers, but I will knock down that sharp edge for actual use.
Think of it as a Medford with a triadlock with ZT quality... a small beast of a knife
I do like larger knives, and this thing is a good large EDC, a bit bigger than my fav the ZT0630,
only about a 1/4" longer and more beefy in the vertical, and only 1/2 ounce heavier.
Overall I highly recommend it, if you were going to get the usual CS, save another $50 or so and get this, you will not
be disappointed.
