Does anyone dare to?
I'll start small.
About the only thing that I don't like about the AD10 is the ugly, bulky, square pocket clip.
Its as if they just had a square piece of metal and well, just screw it on there.
As much as I like Demkos designs, I feel like the clip falls short.
So heres my design/mod.
What do you guys think?
Is it better?
Does it fit the knife?
Don't bash me too bad since I'm a noob here.
I mod and make things all the time, if I can improve on something I do, or try anyway.
I have some more ideas for the knife, if I do some major grinding on it I'll post it up.

By the way, since I'm new here, why is there no ZT forum here?
Where should I post about my ZTs

I like the mod. Great work! Wish I had the confidence to do something like that myself.

with everyone else. great mod idear. looks better visually.

Nice! I haven't received mine yet but I'm considering a similar mod. I assume the spring tension will lessen which is another potential benefit of this mod.

ah, a sister clip!
I thought I was the only one that didn't like the clip.
Good to see a slightly different take on it, looks like mine may be slightly slimmer thru the middle,
which still didn't take much tension out of it.
I think we'd have to make it pretty slim to get the tension right. But that's what CS is known for, tight clips and lockbars.

I used a bench grinder to shape it.
Finished it off with a sander.
Pretty simple, anyone can do it, even if you don't have metal fab skills or work with metal much.

In fact in the close up pic you can see the heat the grinder put in to the middle of the clip
where the brownish/gold discoloration is.

Now, the next mods are going to be more extensive, dare I, or will it ruin the knife?
Still not sure on these.

I replaced the Teflon/PB washers with a single pair of PB washers (.625" x .25" x .010"). Made the knife feel a little more stiff when open.

Really
I've messed washer on a Kershaw and couldn't improve the stiffness, and the action was worse.
So how is the action compared to before?
I'll have to check if I have any .010" washers and may replace the factory ones, altho mine is very solid,
as I tighten up the pivot a bit when I got it.

I didn’t change washers but I have done the same on other Cold Steels. I don’t think the swap makes a meaningful difference except maybe in longevity.
I assume Cold Steel uses the double washer for less friction rather than a cost savings.

I saw that but I thought it was just the lighting...
