Whelp, just ordered an AD15 Lite. Was listed for $136 (which is MAP I think) and I offered $125 which was immediately accepted...should have tried going lower:oops:. So with tax it ended up at $133. Stay tuned...

The regular AD-15 is selling for $135 in many places.

Did a quick check and found them from $179-$215, but I already have 2. If I like the Lite I may sell one of the others.

Check the “Big River” site: $135.89

that is the easiest example, but I found no less that 15 of them for around that price

I wish it lived up to the name and was lighter the weight on it is too much for me to be interested in it.

Yeah the regular is pretty hefty, and the Lite is only a few tenths less. I prefer thinner and lighter myself, but really like the Scorpion Lock design.

Got it in today, and really like it. Can check out Jimislash's video in the Reviews and Testing sub...don't have much more to add. One thing though is that it seems like the opening detent is a hair softer/smoother. Have 2 of the regular AD15s and noticed a difference. Visually can't see a difference in the tang profile, but definitely feel a difference, like they smoothed out the ramp that the lock bar rides on just a bit.

Only other thing is not a big fan of the all-black color. Might be more ok with it if the lockbar and body actually matched, but they don't, since they are different materials with different finishes. So if they're going to be different anyway, make them more different.

I think they mean the price lol, Lite doesn't seem to mean the same thing to them, luckily I like their beefiness.

Pictures?

Here are a few, with a regular 15. One thing I noticed is that the Lite's blade is less "crisp". If you look at the jimping in the close-up pics, the Lite has rounded edges. Can't really tell in the pics, but the horizontal grind line is also crisper on the regular 15.

Liking this one more and more. Just something about how it opens and closes compared to my others, along with being just a tick lighter. Just wish it was a different color.

Agreed on the color mismatch, should have done it like the original way but different colors to differentiate it like they probably want. Do you think it is worth the price and/or a good replacement for the original?

Definitely think it's a good alternative to the original, but whether it's worth it depends on the price paid. Comparing MAP to MAP I would say yes absolutely, since it's like $80 less. But some places are still selling the regular one for about the same price as the Lite, so that's a much harder sell. It'll be interesting to see what the prices of both do moving forward.

I got this one for 99 bucks American. this one has no blade play. so finally broke my bad luck on blade play with these models.

I feel it's a decent bargain for the 99 bucks. prefer it in the mid 80s range, but wish in one hand and (edited but starts with a "s") in the other, and see which fills up first......

😇I'm just now seeing the AD-15 Lite for ~$50 , on a "one time sale" basis . Meaning , while they last .

A special buy for the dealer (not a sponsor , so don't ask ! ) .

So , any further thoughts about this knife ? Pro or con ?

I'm dithering , on the fence .

Seems like a great bargain price ...but not sure I "need" it .

Definitely tempting. I wonder if it really weighs 6.2 ounces, that's heavier than a Recon 1.

Since when do you have to need something. Nobody told me(except maybe my credit card).
