AD15 Lite

What a bunch of shameless enablers !

Yeah , just put in my order . Great bargains are my weak spot .

I've wanted to try this lock ever since it came out ... and pretty hard to beat this price .

They only had 12 left at this price, as of tonight . So it was probably "now or never" for me and the Scorpion lock .

Looks to be out of stock now , so glad I jumped on the deal . :)

$50 Not bad. Country of origin was confusing though. I thought Taiwan was ROC. Hmm. Anyways, thanks for the heads up.

I've received my AD-15 Lite and had a chance to play with it for a few hours .:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I have some minor quibbles , but overall this is a great knife for this price (~$50 ) .

I don't think this replaces or improves upon the Tri-ad lock , except for the substantial fidget factor and the interesting new lock mechanism .

Came packaged in retail clamshell rather than a box . Not my preferred , but OK for a user at this price .

Very good fit and finish . Smooth action (drop shut ) and rock solid lockup . Very sharp . Clean .

Any normal style grip acts to reinforce and strengthen the lock , which is an advantage .

The knife is very strong and fully functional , IMO , but could have been better ...a bit more refined .

Quibbles : Pocket clip is just screwed onto the handle with no inset . Most old Cold Steel did better .

The lock mechanism intrudes into the finger notch / guard space , just enough to be annoying .

The handle top / back is straight and a bit sharp edged compared to the much more ergonomic handles of Tri-ad models , e.g. Bush Ranger etc .

Even so , not at all a bad knife . But just maybe could have been improved upon somewhat . 🤔

Edit : Forgot the half baked finger choil . It's there but barely functional and a little scary to actually use hard , IMO .

Either commit to a fully functional / ergonomic finger choil ...or just don't bother !
