Hi guys,

My search for the best steel is over.

I was watching X-Men yesterday, and found out the ADAMANTIUM. Wolverine has got it !
Doing some research, I found that the shield of Capitain America is made of this alloy, either !

So, I have decided for ADAMANTIUM for my next knife... :D :D :D

The problem is that I'm a Brazilian citizen and I don't think the Pentagon is going to give me some of it.
Tomorrow I'll try to call Gen. Collin Powell to see what he can do to help me.

By the way, do anybody here have Bush's cell phone ? He can help me either.

Thanks in advance,

Andre Tiba

Ps. I don't think I'll be able to get my Adamantium knife sharp with my Sharpmaker... Any ideas ?

if you ever manage to process its raw, liquid state, you've got to keep it that way, keep it hot, because once it cools it's indestructable. But you already know that." -William Stryker

While you're at it, see if you can get some dylithium crystals too.

It's still cheaper than Unobtanium!

And most likely still going to be cheaper than an Onion.

;)

But then again, even Sebbies cost too much, LOL. :D

Instead, you might want to try Carbonadium, (as used by Omega Red) it's a little softer, and probably easier to sharpen.

Also, it's no more tricky to obtain than Adamantium :-)

actually i would go with vibranium, which is, as we all know, is one of the chief metals used in capt. america's shield. this metal would allow more flex in the knife due to the nature of the...what? did i go to far with that...sorry.

Okay..... now you opened up a can of worms ;) . Captain Americas' shield is actually a combination of adamantium and vibrainium. It appears that everyone here is all ready familiar with adamantium. There are two types of Vibrainium. The one used in Caps shield is the type that absorbs energy. This includes kinetic energy. The combination of vibrainium and adamantium makes his shield nearly indestructable as well as able to withstand concussive blasts and heat. If you'd like to read more about Captain Americas' shield, jump over to here to www.unofficialhandbookofthemarveluniverse.com . Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be changing my screen name from Wunderbar to Wundernerd. :footinmou

Yes, but you are forgetting a key fact from one of the finest movies of all time, The Core:

"Unobtanium turns heat into energy!"

:D

The only adamantium blade I've found useful is a folder that has bolsters made of the same alloy. All the adamantium fixed blades I've owned go through the kydex sheaths like butter. Makes it difficult to carry them on hikes. I just use them in the garage for cutting up cardboard. It sure is nice not having to sharpen them though. As for heavy duty chopping I prefer my lightsaber. Uses up C-Batteries like Bantha poodoo but it gets the job done. :D

Adamantium? I'm still trying to get my hunk of Upsadaisium down from the ceiling!

Hi, Bullwhip !

Thanks for the reply, and can you tell me where to buy a light saber ?

They don't have it in stock at Newgrahams, nor Bestknives...

I know a fellow, I think his name is Skywalker, who's selling a used, but not abused one, but I didn't understand the price... And there's another problem: he's "...in a galaxy far away" and nobody could tell me the shipping cost.

Well, I know Yoda is selling his, but it's a very old model... :(

Please, let me know about your experience with that.

Regards,

Andre Tiba - Brazil

I understand that in the next X-men movie, Wolverine will have his adamantium skeleton replaced with Cold Steel's 420 sub-zero quenched steel, because it's just as good as adamantium... :D

You just brought bad memories back for me...i watched that movie a couple of days ago and it cost me like £3 to get it off sky box office 'cos some idiot told me the movie was quite good.

Now i have to try and forget it all over again!!!!

This is the funniest goddamn thread I have ever...ever...read.

Someone needs to buy Mary Beth at NewGraham a lightsaber; they cauterize wounds instantly! She could cut herself one moment and answer e-mails the next!

Ever wonder why they kept running out? Instead of chasing after alien women and making dramatic speeches, Captain Kirk should have come up with a way to store a big ol' barrel full of those things. Or at least Spock should have been able to figure it out. Maybe then they wouldn't have run out every time the Romulans or Klingons or some dang thing attacked.

I thought United Cutlery, Frost, and Cold Steel were already using this on their knives.
