Adamas 275BK, My new acquisition

Dang it. That's it. I already wanted one. Your pics drove me over the edge. Whitty ..... respond to your PM on the other forum. I will most likely be ordering tomorrow.

Thanks for the order, hope you show pics here when it comes in!

I'm down to one Benchmade now after selling off my Lerch Subrosa and Presidio. The Adamas will be my next Benchmade, I think I'll get the fixed blade version as well!

Favorite knife, has been since I bought it. Such a beast, probably one of the strongest production folders out there.

This was my first Benchmade and I receive the first one two weeks ago and had to return it back to the seller because of quality control issues and I just got this replacement back yesterday. On this one I had to play with the pivot screw tension and also purple Loctited the screw in place. I also had to clean the blade and oil action. But other then that I got the action working like butter and love the knife!!!!

I just got the Sibert 757 and wish I had gotten the 275 looking back. Why? The Axis lock system on the 275 has an axis pin twice as thick as a regular axis pin. The rest of the 275 locking system is twice as thick and strong as even the next best Axis lock. The 275 entire Axis lock sytem is the largest and strongest that Benchmade makes. There is a video on YT of some Russian guy doing a severe test review of the 275 at the end of which it was still working he then took what looked like a all steel mallet and just kept smashing down on top of the handle with the knife open and closed trying to get the lock to fail where the blade would fall out and he couldnt do it. The fat axis pin bent inwards a good bit but when it did it brought the liners togeth compressing or catching the blade in the open position. The titanium on titanium framelock on my 757 is crazy thick and has lots of lock up as designed but there is just no way it would hold up to that. I will say though that the blades of the 275 and 757 are nearly identical which is cool. I think I just convinced myself to try trading my 757 for a 275

Celtic, if you're serious about trading for one, I'd be willing to make that trade. Hit me up at rquitorianorn at Gmail .com of you're interested.
