It does look like a gunny that was sent in for a spear point and full height grind. Also, the sheath is an older gunny sheath.

I see the steel type is not stated on the knife.
Anyone have an idea what steel it would be? I am guessing A2 by default, but I don't know.
If it was 3v, that would be marked on the knife, right?

Don't have access to a micrometer, but by my eye, it is just under 3/16. Hope this helps.

What are the overall and blade lengths?

It is 8 inches overall and 3 1/2 inches from tip to where the handle starts. Also, the grind is convex, not flat as I originally mis-stated.
