Found myself bored with some free time. I had a spare deep carry BM clip, broke out the drill, here's the end result . This is a Alox Pioneer...much better now

I'm amazed that Victorinox doesn't offer a pocket clip as a standard option, or the dangle type hanger clip.

Is it literally as simple as drilling holes slightly smaller than your screws in there? What keeps the screws from just being ripped out the minute you put it into your pockets?

You have to drill the proper size holes, then use a tap to cut the threads to match the screws.

I think i would carry vics much more if i had clips on them. The bm clip looks perfect on it.

How did you keep the chips from ending up between the springs and blade tangs?

Didn't bother and just blew it out well with compressed air afterwards?

Exactly. First I gave it a thorough washing. Dried everything I could reach with a paper towel, then used a small can of compressed air *keyboard cleaner* to dry out the tight spaces.

Nice job.

What size tap did the BM screws require?

looks great! with aluminum oxide being a softer metal im curious to see how it holds up. I just ended up making a lanyard for mine with a snap hook to neck carry. sure wish they offered a pocket clip from factory :/ and again, great job looks fantastic!

I've been thinking about doing something like this for a while now.

My first question seems to have been answered. You just drilled and tapped the holes right into the alox scales? I also wonder about how that will hold up. Alternatively, I could put some epoxy under there as well.

Does anyone know a good source for pocket clips? I don't have any spares, and I can't imagine buying a name brand clip is cheap at all. Seems like there should be a cheaper option.
