Adding a sebenza to EDC? Is it worth it?

The law of diminishing returns only equates to the physical function of the tool. The actual joy you get using each tool can vary greaty and does not always follow this rule. I get 4x the joy with my seb compared to my other knives :) Just something to keep in mind
I agree, and should have made this more clear in my post. The intangible pride of ownership does not follow the law of diminishing returns. What I was trying to imply is that above a certain point, this is a key factor in high end knife purchases.

...and is why someone will probably not "get" a Sebenza from reading the internet, but should really try one out.

If you can afford it, have tried it, and still REALLY want it - Sure.

For me personally, it's WAY too much money for my personal budget for a pocket knife.

If I had the money to buy a Sebenza, I would not buy one. I would spend it on something else that I get enjoyment out of.

Everyone has their own likes/dislikes an things they want to invest time and money in. If you have to ask whether you should buy a Sebenza, you probably aren't ready to get one.

No. Had one, nicely made. Unless you're buying it to admire or reaffirm your sense of accomplishment (two cases where it's worth it), use what you have, or buy a buck Vantage Pro for $45. I'm not kidding.
