Adding handle to sub hilt bowie

I'm looking into maybe getting one of these sub hilt blade blanks.

What would be the easiest type handle to add to this style of knife? Would it take pins? Or screws? I've never made a knife handle, but thought it could be a neat project.

you could use pins, loveless handle bolts, of corby bolts. easiest? use some type of wood, it is easier to shape and sand than micarta. looks like the front guard is on backwards in the link photo

I like Loveless bolts myself. You can get an interesting birdseye look by mixing the materials, and they are a bit harder to screw up with than Corby's
