Im using some rubber material for handles on some knives i am planing to rivet it to the handlesthe rivets hold fine but the edges bend up so Iwould also like to use an adhesive i got the material from a cobler and he uses conect cement to bond it to the bottom shoes wondering if that will work or if there is something else i should use thanks chris

Those adhesives are pretty flexable and work well when you have something holding the two pieces together. I would stick with expoxy given it would stick to the rubber like material.

Mickley recommends contact cement and mechanical attachment for the horse stall mat he sells on his USA Knifemaker site.

I tried the barge cement it held good until it go heated when I edge sanded to fit the rubber to the handle better never got to hot to handle i was given anither type I think thatits called reine or something suposed to hold up to heat better gunna try it tomorrow
