Dust on the mill OOOHHH NOOOOO....
As my old boss used to say, what is the most accurate machine tool in the shop? The surface grinder, what does it produce? Fine steel and grinding wheel dust. Has not affected any of my tools yet. Just keep the ways wiped down. Besides the mill sits right next to my belt anyway. Having the discs mounted on the table makes for very easy adjustments.
I would go with the square tube system with a trailer jack for adjustment. You don't want to have to lift that thing to adjust it.
