I remember seeing mentioned an alternative to loctite for pivot screws which will be adjusted a lot. I've searched around, and can't find the original post I remember reading.

I know loctite is ruined if you adjust the screw too much, so what are the alternatives?

If I'm going to playing with the pivot screw alot I use Teflon tape. It gives enough resistance to prevent the screw from moving.

I use 'Shoo-Goo.' It dries as a rubber product and holds very tight, yet still 'breaks free' with moderate force. Once freed, it's still as if there was a strip of 'rubber band' inside the screw hole, and keeps things vibration free. NOTE: Not a suitable replacement for connections that get fairly hot!
