Advanced Photo Manipulation Tutorial

sorry to drag up this old thread but I just DL'd GIMP2 and wanted to try these techiques. here's what I came up with for my first try.

Im glad this thread resurfaced, im working on this aspect of the craft, thanks Patrice! I just downloaded gimp and my oldest boy chimed in that he was familiar with this program from school, and that he could get into tuning up some pics for me! Wooo-Hooo.

Jason, very good start. I may do a little more advanced one one of these days but GIMP is very user friendly so you guys can surely figure how to improve on this.

Not to turn this into a tech support or gaming thread, but I ran Fallout 1 in Wine and quickly decided to just run it in an XP Virtual machine.. there are plenty of free hosts. Dual boot works fine too.
