My big indulgence here in London is having the occasional cuban! But always on the lookout for a bargain:D !
 
Gonna be real nice today so I'm gonna have to have another cee-gar, secure in the knowledge that the ALOX Hobo Special will be there to assist! :thumbup: :D
 
Is that a modified cadet, or just a regular cadet? Or is there actually a hobo special sak? I just got my first Alox sak, I can't believe no one told me about these little beauties before! If I had found one a year ago, I might have never looked at another knife........oh who am I kidding, I would have.

Btw, I'm still carrying my TC barlow, but the little black Alox cadet I picked up a couple days is riding shotgun. Nice little knife.
 
Great pic! I've always used a toothpick but I just ran to the local smoke shop today and I think I'll put my farmer to the test on stogie tomorrow. Pics to come. Thanks for the idea!

It's the bigger 93mm size Pioneer with the awl deployed! :) The "Hobo Special" was just a little SAKreligious humor! :D There is no such knife. The ALOX SAks of any size are well thought out and well made knives. :thumbup:

Thanks and you're very welcome...I can't believe I never thought of it before! It's perfect for this....very secure and the awl design keeps the cigar from rotating!

It´s great to see the clip getting used for what it is made for :)

I use to carry mine with an additional chain for my keys every single day... I´ve lost my keys for work many years ago and it would have been a darn expensive thing if I wouldn´t have been insured for that.
 
Great looking knife. Can someone explain to me about the ALOX? I keep seeing this. What is special about this ALOX?

Also, what kind of steel is on these? How is the edge retention on abrasive materials? How about whittling? Good for that?
