Hello. I've been looking at getting another custom knife and have been intrigued by roach bellies. The idea I've drawn up is about 4.5" long, drop point, sort of broad bladed with an edge profile similar to the original Nessmuk sketch.
I like the benefits offered by the full length belly as it pertains to game, but when it comes to wood and bushcraft work I am wondering if I am giving up anything by sacrificing all of the straight edge. I'm also wondering if the roach belly design has any benefits when it comes to wood and bushcraft work.
Thoughts?
