Adventure medical kit - Heat sheets

I used a bivvy bag for two very wet nights. The velcro tore away and it wasn't what I hoped for. It was trashed when I got home. You do sweat pretty good in them whether you use the vent or not.
It's a good idea but for 30 bucks I'd sooner put the cash towards a better light weight sleeping bag.

I think one of the good uses of the bivvy sack may be filling it with debris to make a ground insulating mattress. I've got a couple and would hate to use them as a sleeping bag (though I bought them specifically for that use in an emergency). However, they might work better as a mattress with a heat sheet on top of you.

I got one of the AMK bivies at Eastern Mt. Sports for 15$ yesterday. On sale! Havent tried it yet but it came with a nice sylnylon bag that was extra sized to put other BOB gear in.---KV
