Folks, I bought this one not but a week or two ago, all I've done is fondle it lovingly. Hasn't cut a thing. With impeccable timing, the Amish furniture store called and said that our long-awaited Hickory dining table, benches, and chairs are coming in on the truck THIS WEEK! So, my lovely new Adventure Sworn Bushcrafter has to go to help pay for it.
It is every bit as beautiful and well made as it appears in the pictures. I'm ashamed to say that I merely copied Cody's thread and pics to use here, but at least the description is accurate and the pics are good!
I'm going to knock the $5 shipping off and pay for that myself. And I'm going to cry myself to sleep tonight!
Paypal and USPS MO accepted.
Here's Cody's description and pics:
"This one is a bushcrafter made of 5/32 inch (roughly 4mm) thick O1 tool steel. The blade is equipped with a mirror polished & hair shaving scandi grind. The blade is hardened by myself in an electronically controlled heat-treat furnace to an RC of 59. The jade green scales are of professionally stabilized & dyed maple burl, with white vulcanized spacing material. The handle is contoured to a coke-bottle shape, and is hand-smoothed and was designed for comfort in any grip.
Within the grain of the handle is rust-colored specks, so I just went with it and dyed the lanyard and sheath to match accordingly. The handmade sheath is 7-8 oz vegetable tanned tooling leather, with artificial sinew stitching securely sitting in groove lines on both sides. The sheath has a high-sheen water repellent finish.
