Here is Cody's description:
"This design I have been working on is my interpretation of a general "bushcraft" knife. A dependable, versatile, all-around knife for use in the wilderness.
The steel is 5/32 inch O1 high carbon tool steel, heat-treated in an electronically controlled furnace to an RC of 59. The blade is equipped with a hair-shaving sharp and mirror polished scandi grind. The knife's cutting edge is 4 inches in length, and has a full-sized 4.7 inch handle of medium thickness.
I've been holding on to these (high-end stabilized and dyed maple burl) scales for a while now, and I am relieved that I have finally put them to some good use. Difficult to photograph, but the handle is composed of dark blues, light blues, rust colors, and the occasional bit of white.
The handle is contoured to a comfortable coke-bottle shape, and just about every part of it is rounded, smoothed and polished. This is to minimize "hot-spots" when working with the knife for long periods of time, no matter what grips you're utilizing.
A hand-made leather sheath is included; made of 7-8 oz leather, stitched with waxed artificial sinew. It is dyed java brown, and has a high-sheen water repellent finish. Also included is a dangler, made versatile with both a removable pin and a snap."
Specs:
Steel: O1 high carbon tool steel
Grind: Scandi
Overall Length: 9 inches
Blade Length: 4-1/4 inches
Blade Thickness: 5/32 inches
Handle: Stabilized & dyed maple burl, cinnamon colored vulcanized spacing material, brass loveless bolts & tubing
Sheath: 7-8 oz vegetable tanned tooling leather, waxed artificial sinew stitching
This knife has been lightly used and, aside from some light scratches on the mirror polished edge that don't even show up in my pictures, is in excellent shape. The sheath is also in excellent condition. The edge is perfect and unbelievably sharp.
The price is $OLD shipped CONUS. Paypal add 3.5%.
