Advice for Benchmade on new Bali Songs

I second Cougar Allen. Good, hand-made balisongs, barongs, etc. straight from the Phillippines would be just great! If someone were to set up something on the lines of Himalayan Imports, then you have another potential customer right here!

In the meantime, I'll be looking forward to the Benchmade Balisongs - never handled one, but heard a lot about them. Glad to hear they're coming back.

I would like one made with a talonite blade and Ti handles, and mirror polish the whole thing. Detatchable/limited travel latch would be nice to. I like the idea of a brend recurve blade, kris blade, double edge(well at least 1.5). I would like to be able to disassemble the whole knife to for cleaning, too. A choice of kydex or leather sheath would be nice too, the cordura sheaths have a tendency fall apart. That and be able to change from horizontal to vertical carry as well.

And would you like fries with that?

Seriously, that would be one nice knife. All good suggestions.

Wow, I'm kind of surprised at the amount of people that want to restrict the movement of the latch! That would bug the $*%&@ out of me

If you just spread your fingers along the handle a little more, and let the pinky tip, or thumb (depending on the grip)keep the latch in check, you won't have the problem. It takes some getting used to but, all in all, it's better than restricting the movement of the latch.

I can do it that way ... it doesn't work when you're holding the other handle, though.
