Hey Guys, I will be going to my first show in a few weeks. I was actually supposed to go to the same show a year ago, but bad choices an ex girl friend prevented that one. But come hell or high water im going!

So, any advice? I will be making labels with prices for all the blocks, I plan on having a disocunt bucket "15-25 dollars blocks" plenty of business cards and i was planning on printing out a few documents about some of my testing work "Drop test, dishwasher tests, water absorption rates"

Anyone with show experience have any advice for me?

don't have a funny colored background or pattern for the table top, it's distracting.

that's all :-) see u there

Depending on the amount of wood you will put out, having each type in a stock box or bin keeps the table neat. I use the flat bins from Costco. I just tak the lids off and set it out on the table. When the show done, I snap the lids back on and load the vehicle. This greatly keeps down people placing blocks in the wrong place. Discount boxes and bins do well.
Don't take every wood you have. Take the ones that sell and look the best. If you want to take it all, set the less popular woods under the table.

If you decide to do shows often, make a display board with a sample piece of every wood you carry. Polish and finish each to show what it will look like finished. Clearly label each type below the sample.
