Advice Needed: Finish Coat for Wood Handles

I have never tried to have a container of it and dip things in it. I have just used it as Neal70 described. On my lathe for pens, bottle stoppers, vases, etc.

Generally speaking, a beautiful finish is not cheap, demands high prices because the labour involved ;)

If you use stabilized wood blocks or slabs for your handles no finish is needed. Its contained in the wood itself. With proper sanding, burnishing and hand rubbing not much else is needed.
I've never, over the last 50 years, found a finish that is permanent, one that won't peel or crack. I was a custom wood working for 20 years and have applied many finish coats but now that I make knives the finish coats stay on the shelf.
