I am waiting for my rotary tool and sheets of g10 I ordered to arrive on my doorstep and am quite excited about attempting to create some custom knife scales for some of my folders. I am looking for some advice and have a few questions. First question, I ordered 1/8" thick g10 sheets and I am wanting to do some kind of pattern in to the scales, so is that thick enough? Second, I don't know which knife I should customize lol. I'm thinking my spyderco tenacious, and possibly my manix 2 but the manix makes me nervous with the ball bearing lock, I just don't want to mess it up, but it has a lot less screw holes to taper. The tenacious on the other hand is a liner lock and I don't feel anxiety over taking it apart, but there are a few more screw holes to taper and I heard thts the toughest part of doing this. Anyway, any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

The manix 2 is easy to disassemble and reassemble. I take mine apart to clean it regularly. Also the liners aren't nested so if you only take the screws out of one side and work it before moving to the next, there isn't any need to expose the mechanism.
