Looking into purchasing an ax for camping. Primary use would be wood processing.

I have a GB SFA so I am familiar with Gransfors Bruks quality. I have read that when it comes to processing a lot of wood GB are not the best. Some state Ox head axes are better.

To you axe users, what are the differences that make one better suited than the other for the job?

Or is it just preference?

Looking for a user not a safe queen.

It will come down to how you use the axe and exactly what type of wood processing you want to do. I like axes with thin bits because I like the way the chop. The GB falls in that category. If on the other hand you will be splitting a lot, a thicker bit and a wider head will have an advantage. I know people who love the Ox Head axes, I personally am not a huge fan, although my experience with them is limited. I find that they have thicker bits, which I don't like. If you want to process more wood, I would just move to a bigger axe. No matter what the design of an axe with a 1.5lb head, it will not be great at processing large amounts of wood.
