I'm looking for either of these two types of display cases. I also need to learn the best way to mount the knives on a vertical countertop case. I would think if a customer is interested in a knife, that you would pull out a new, in box knife to show them vs taking a knife from your display. It might be a good idea to have one that is lockable. Could someone please steer me in the direction of companies that sell these type displays. Thanks. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Actually if a customer wants to see a knife usually dedicated floor models are what is demo'd in most cases if there is back up stock. As to not beat around the bush some people do really stupid stuff with knives and sometimes damage them when showing off their lack of skills. For me i had a family member make a case. It was shallow and used a peg board backing. What I do is use the peg board hooks but to prevent scratches as the hooks are metal i put heat shrink tubing over the contact points. This means you can change the set up depending on the stock and it can evolve. This is more of a case for collecting. If you are wanting to start a store any standard glass case with glass shelves will work. Most knife stores around me simply place the knives on a shelf on top of the knifes box.
