Advice on dealing uneven bevel on my new Husqvarna multipurpose forest axe

A blind guy could have ground that better. I hope it went back to the vendor. That crossed all lines, just terrible workmanship.
 
It's a hand made axe without refinement to keep the cost down. A bit of tuning - that you'll be learning to do anyway sometime - will have it humming.

You could sand the lacquer off the haft too.
 
The pictures provided make it hard to tell if it is ground uneven or if the cheeks are slightly different, my norlund hatchet is kind of like that, uneven cheeks, one side is fairly flat and the other is slightly outwardly curved, so from the side it looks like it is ground unevenly but the blade profile is correct. Post a pic from the top of the head looking down the bit.
 
i dont see the problem with this husky, nothing that 10 minutes on a 1x30 belt sander could not fix...

The pit on the poll is another matter.
