Advice on Gent's Knife

I'd like to ask for any and all input: I wear suits daily and need a knife to cut packages quite frequently. I am in pharmaceutical sales, so I can't walk into a doctor's office and have people noticing a knife in my pocket. Aside from the $400 CRK Mnandi, does anyone know of a knife that is 1)very discreet with little to no knife showing above the clip and 2) not too big? I've currently got a SOG Flash as the clip was perfect (looked like a laser pointer) but the fit/finish is suspect and it rattles. Looking forward to your suggestions.
I bought a ZT 0302 from NGK last week, but it just doesn't go with a suit!:D

I use my Spiderco Kiwi. No clip, but small, one handed opening and sheeple friendly. Though discontinued you can still get them through distributors.

How about the Kershaw Gents folder. Classic and people friendly lockback design, and the fit and finish are excellent!

The above refers to the model 1993-2, and it's a beautiful knife. I don't think it has a clip, and comes with a small leather sheath, but could be carried bare in the pocket. Not your modern 1-handed opener, though...:D

4.25 inches closed...

Any of the many Leek varieties also make fine suit carries...

One of my current favorites...

It's the Kershaw Leek model 1660OLBLKST...4 inches closed...

You can't wear a suit and carry your ZT 0302 at the same time? What a light-weight...:D.:D.

Seriously, a Leek would be a very good choice...Fairly small & light, and doesn't look TOO "tactical".

Buy a Victorinox Alox Bantam. It's the thinnest dress knife I know of, yet still very useful and affordable.

I too would recommend the Leek.
Go for a black one like the 1660CKT or CKTST if you wear dark slacks.
The clip won't hardly show.

Centofante, black scales, mother of pearl inserts, with the pocket sheath. A very nice looking, non threatening gents folder. They also have models with a pocket clip and no sheath that are very light. The best part is that there about a dozen variations.

If you dig around on the net for long enough you can likely come up with a color combo that you like.

It doesn't have a pocket clip, but a flat box cutter is about 99 cents, and thin/light enough to fit in any pocket

I was just thinking.......I bet STR could make you a lowrider that looks like a pen clip for about any knife you wanted to carry

Again, just got home from work and late to the party, but Leek or Kershaw Gent's folder!!

Leek, Gent's folder, or centofante.
Personally? rainbow leek :D
jkjk
I'd just get the black leek--it'll look invisible with slacks

This is the black CKT that I have.
CKTSP, CKTBP, CKTWP.....I can't remember the correct#. Maybe someone
else knows.
I think it's perrrty.

Hmmmmm....... I like my giraffe bone handled Buck 375....... it is 2 5/8 inch long; has two blades; weight = .7 ounce!

Or for that matter, you could take a soup can lid, fold it in half and sharpen it on the sidewalk of the office you're visiting. That way it would be nice and sharp each time you made a visit, and you wouldn't be out the 99 cents............but you would have to buy a can of soup, open said can of soup (this requires something sharp...not too sure what you could use), and dispose of the contents or go dumpster diving and hope for the best.

Or an even better idea...Instead of bringing in a deli tray for lunch, get a case of them pudding cups. Everyone loves pudding! And the lids are sharp! Save your receipts, as they can be write-offs!

Actually, I was trying to be numerous with my box cutter comment.

But there is a little bit of truth to my comment. His stated purpose is to open packages. That is what a flat box cutter is for.

Personally, I would get a LeeK, Centofante, or Al Mar.

mikemock, if it's humorous or a pun, it's best to use these:

Then there's no misconception regarding your post.

Thank You. You may now resume the normal discussion on this thread...........:D
