Hello all. Seeing as how I'm currently off work until further notice for medical reasons, I have time to pick up and finish 2 knives I started when I first took up this aspect of blacksmithing.
Here's outlines of 2 blanks I forged out about a year ago and started to grind using a file jig before I got my grinder, and I feel I should finish these. The longer blade is forged from the same ladder pattern that I used for my Gerber replacement(http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-replacement-WIP?highlight=gerber+replacement), but forged the blade to shape instead of grinding it, so I'm curious as to how the pattern will change. Both are 1095/15N20.
Not sure what the second blank pattern was, I think its just a random pattern.
Any suggestions on what to modify (shape, grind, tang length, etc)?
Thanks
