Advice on liner materials

Hi all

I am wanting some advice on liner materials for making liner locks. I know some people use titanium what grades are suitable? What do you do to stop wear on titanium liners?

What stainless is good?

Basically I would like some knowledge on what is the best for longevity in a liner lock. I know spyderco seems to mostly use stainless.

Pls help.

They use stainless because it's cheaper for them, but they have to heat traet the stainless to get a spring temper

Just use 6AL4v Titanium, Grade 5 and you don't have to HT
