Advice on Next Knife?

I've recently discovered the Tactile Rockwall Thumbstud and, although it's not a crossbar lock, it's really captured my attention. Magnacut steel, superb slicing grind, and a (hopefully) well-tuned action hits all the right spots.

It's definitely different from where you started but the Rockwall is a neat knife. I hope you'll update us with your thoughts when you get it, including the thinner blade stock.

I have rarely but occasionally found myself in a position that requires me to use my blade as a pry bar or wedge, but by and large the task of my pocket knife is to slice cleanly and accurately.

Thanks. This could be a great excuse to go down the rabbit hole of EDC pry tools. Even just a small one on the key ring can be surprisingly handy. I'm especially fond of a combined pry tool and bottle opener. There are lots of lightweight titanium options available now too...

I wish I could be happy with one knife for 10 years. I bought a Sencut and a Civvi from the Exchange Wednesday, a used Kershaw Blur from Ebay yesterday and today I made the mistake of perusing Blade HQ's sale bought a CJRB, a Kershaw, a Civvi, a Spyderco and a Case Sodbuster and I wasn't even in the market for a new knife.

I was happy with a DPX triple black for many years. Then TSA took her and here I am looking at CRK, SHF, and LG lol

As a totally different suggestion…

Kunwu Django. I picked one of these up last month and have been incredibly pleased with the feel in hand, practical blade shape, and ease of use. It’s a very different style, but for me this is the concept behind the 940 taken to a new level. And it comes in different colors and materials on the Kunwu website.

I will echo the sentiment of those prior: whether you like a knife or not is very personal. For me, I will sell or get rid of a knife based on the tiniest of details about how it feels in hand, so if you can get your hands on an option, do it!

Let us know what you end up choosing!
