Advice on the best quick and easy PSK

I spent several days trying to find a *small* metal container online that could be used to hold a pocket-sized psk and boil water, and had no luck. I'm probably going to base my pocket / backpacking kit off a Ritter pocket kit (vinyl pouch) with a disposable aluminum mini-loaf pan folded around it.

The closest thing I found to pocket-sized metal that seals is the MSR Stowaway pot http://www.rei.com/product/401131 , which comes in four sizes ranging from 475 ml to 1600 ml. No gasket seal, but I figure on using electrical tape or something to guarantee watertightness. I'm in the process of making a daypack kit based in the 1100 ml one. The 475 ml one seems small enough to fit in a waist pack of some sort (something larger than yer standard skinny fanny pack).

From a practical standpoint you dont need a metal tin for a "small" pocket kit. A) it wont boil enough water to make a real difference. B) thats what micro pur tabs are for.

Spend your time getting warm by the fire not boiling spoonfulls of water.

A pocket kit is desinged for a couple days, so chemical treatments will get you through.

My 2 cents.
