Advice On Which Knife to Get

Have you checked out a decent Ka-bar recently? I was browsing, not into the big tactical knives myself. They have a "Short" version that's 5 1/2 inches instead of the usual 7, and they have an impressive hunting collection. Some people swear by the Ka-bar knives.

Course you could go pricey and get a Randell made knife. ;)
 
Now, let's remember, the OP asked about tactical knives. Had he asked about a fixed blade for all-around use, well now........ things might be a tad different..... ((( :D )))
 
i would have to agree with the rat cutlery knives.... keep it simple unless you have special requirements 1095 steel great all around steel easy to sharpen
 
one more vote for a RC-4. definitely not a SOG Seal pup though.... looks great but by no means an acceptable survival knife.
Maybe even a scrap yard dumpster mutt.
