I have a Wilton grinder and would like to have as big of a contact wheel as possible, I currently have a 10" wheel set up but want a 14" wheel if possible. Does anybody use a 14" on a Wilton or will it be too big? I appreciate all the help and advice you guys give.

you'd need longer belts, and a modified wheel mounting arm (to keep the belt from getting into
the bottom of the frame.).....and could still have tracking issues...

First let me say I don't have a Square wheel grinder, or access to one. If someone doesn't give you a yes or no answer, you might cut a fake one out of plywood just to see if it fits and the belt will clear and adjust.

Looks like I was slow with my post and Russ has you covered.

I just went out and measured mine. I see no problem with 14”. I have drilled extra holes to allow me to extend the arm for use with a slow down wheel and believe I could fit a 16”.

I really appreciate all the replies and help guys, I am going to make a plywood wheel just to see what happens. I suck at flat grinding and was wanting to work higher up to make it look more like a flat grind or at least move the grind up higher.

If the belt is too short with the 14 contact wheel, try a smaller slow down drive wheel = that might make the difference.
