Advice sought, ZT 0452CF

That is the only draw back for me with my 0452. I don't have that issue with the smaller 0450. Practice and a different clip on the 0452 would eliminate any issue with gripping the lock bar, but it depends on your grip and hand size. For me it seems natural to grip on the lock bar area because of the slim frame, but a different clip to shield it a bit more would help. I don't see it being a huge issue though. I also don't see thumbstuds on a flipper as necessary. If it is a flipper I flip it. Many thumbstuds and bladestops on flippers are not usable.

I agree mostly with this. I'd say that after a break-in period finger placement on the lock bar has become a non-issue. Before that it was PITA!

NICE! Details please ?

That is a knife made by the company carson tech labs. Its called the boiling. It is chinese but insanely high quality. S35VN blade. Ceramic detent. It has a sealed bearing system so no way to gunk it up. Its got a steel lockbar insert and the lockbar is cut in an S shape to prevent over stressing when opening. Ti handles and very nice action. Its perfectly balanced between flipping and thumb stud opening. They sell between $168 and $260 depending on who you buy from. Unfortunately no USA dealers seem to exist so you need to import one. But I promise you wont be disappointed. And even at the top end of that price range i find it to be well worth it. Hit me up via email if you would like more information.
