Hi all! Thought Id share my afternoon project, This is a General Task/Hunter design done in SS Damascus. It finishes just under 8.5". I cleaned it down .210, then tapered the tang down to .030, and hollowed it to .021, feels really nice in the hand, I havent commited to the furniture for this one and am open to suggestions. Sorry no action shots on the grinding procedures but I taper like any loveless book will display, and hollow grind with my tongue hanging out! :D

Well here goes:
original billet with blank profiled and drilled, I may widen the center hole for a mosaic pin?

So Ive never etched SS damascus maybe someone can chime in with their experience and recipe to get a real nice etch. Thanks!:)
