Hello everyone,
I've got a cleaver for sale today. It's my take on a Chinese cleaver. It's 0.13" AEB-L steel. I've convexed it down to near sharp and then put on a micro bevel. It should be able to handle the veggie chopping and deboning chores well. It's heat treated by Peter's to RC60. The handle is some really beautiful Rosewood that I've paired with some figured African Blackwood.

Specs:
OAL: 13.5"
Blade: 8" long, 2.87" heel height, convex grind down to near sharp with a micro bevel, hand sanded to 320 grit.
Steel: 0.13" AEB-L heat treated by Peter's to RC60
Handle: Wa style hidden tang. Rosewood, Black and White G10 spacers, African Blackwood ferrule.
$SOLD Shipped CONUS, International buyers welcome shipping extra.
Paypal, checks and money orders accepted.

Is it a thinner cleaner similar to a Chinese cleaver?

Yes, this is my take on a Chinese cleaver. It's 0.13" at the spine, fully convexed grind with a small micro bevel to bring it up to razor sharp. I think this would make a great all around kitchen blade for cutting veggies and meat and could handle chopping chores as well like de-boning chicken.

dang, super nice Robert.

Thanks James!

I love Chinese cleaners. I plan on buying one October 1st for my birthday. I had to lend this month's knife budget to my son to fix a vintage 1978 Nova.

Beautiful! Look forward to your next offering, and hope I catch it in time! A cleaver like this would compliment the rest of my kitchen knives nicely!
