DevinT, "IF" a proper sub-critical anneal as described at bottom of my post #14 (got from your and Larrin's writing) is completed, is anything lost in blade quality by doing this sub-critical anneal, then re-HT'ing after a failed HT (due to warp or other issues)?

Nothing lost, might even be tougher when finished.
