I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
I heat treated an AEB-L chief's knife last Friday and it turned out great! I did the 2 hour soak at 1200 F and furnace cooled, austenitized at 1950 F for 13 minutes, plate quenched then still warm put right into dry ice, and tempered at 325 F, it definitely got hard! and I'm guessing it to be at about 62HRC. (I don't have a Rockwell tester so I don't know for sure)
