AEBL heat treat test data

What I have been wondering is if final temper temp affects toughness. What I mean is if I selected a final hardness of say XX and I compared 2 heat treats that required different levels of tempering temps.woukd the AEBL that required a higher tempering temp be tougher then the same steel that needed a lowertempering temp to hit the same hardness.

In general, lower austenitize + lower temper is better than austenitizing higher with a correspondingly higher temper to compensate:https://knifesteelnerds.com/2018/03/01/austenitizing-part-2-effects-on-properties/

However, the best way to find out would be to make some charpy samples and send them to me.
