I’m currently working on a batch of AEBL in thickness from .07-3/16 and this is the first batch I’ve decided to drill a lot of bigger 3/8 holes for weight reduction/epoxy to go through.

The tang of this first paring knife at .07 warped significantly when drilling these holes. I’m going to send them to peters for heat treat. Will this warp be corrected during heat treat? Or am I drilling too many/big holes?

i recently finished a batch of 12 fillet knives from .07" aeb-l. I was amazed at how flexible this steel was when profiling. you should easily be able to flatten it yourself by slightly tweaking. I had peters do my HT, and they all came back straight as an arrow.

I guess I never tried simply tweaking it.... lol it didn’t take much at all to get it pretty flat by hand! I appreciate it
