These knives are up for sale as part of my AFAustin's 4th Annual "Going to the Dogs" Sale in the traditionals sales forum: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ing-to-the-Dogs”-Sale?p=15861531#post15861531

But their origin is different. Our esteemed member Gundawg (John) and I were talking about knives and dogs awhile back and he decided to send me a gift—a box of knives he had lying around but not being used. It was very generous of him, and given his great love of dogs I think it’s fitting that the proceeds from these sales likewise be donated to the Highland Lakes SPCA, as described in the companion thread.These are modern knives for the most part, and as I’m a traditionals fan, I’m not very familiar with them but will describe them the best I can.

I'm going to put some knives up now and add some more later, so please check back.

And with that, on to the knives!

Update 3/18/16: This thread is closed and "Part 2" is now open: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ual-“Going-to-the-Dogs”-Sale-(moderns)-Part-2

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) Anza small fixed blade. Scales are attractive and highly polished dymond wood. I believe Anza blades are made from files (high carbon tool steel). 5 1/4" overall length. Appears unsharpened. Made in U.S.A.
Includes very nice leather sheath. $45.00
2) Buck Alpha Dorado. Not sure what the scales are made of. Liner lock. 154CM blade. 4" closed. Sharpened to a nice edge. Made in U.S.A.
Includes nice leather sheath. $45.00
3) Sharp lockback. Made in Japan. Nice looking scales of what look like laminated wood. 440 stainless blade with some blade scratching. No nail nick—easily pinches open. Locks up tight. Hefty and solid knife. 4" closed. Sharpened to a nice edge.
Includes leather belt sheath which shows some wear. $25.00
Japanese Acuto + blade steel. 3" closed. Very sharp edge and an absolute needle point but not the prettiest sharpening job---scuff marks, uneven bevel, etc.
