1st unconditional "I'll take it", followed up with prompt payment. My PM/Conversations box tends to fill up quickly, so please e-mail me for payment info. at: aforsythe4 [at] austin [dot] rr [dot] com
Once we have a deal, please post an "I’ll take it" in this sales thread, since that’s required for us both to leave feedback, which I think is important.
By buying these knives you are stating that you are at least 18 years of age, and otherwise in compliance with all applicable laws regarding them.

International Sales Policies:
I like the international character of BF and so I’m usually willing to jump through the extra hoops to do international sales. But as this sale has grown in size and become a good deal more work, I’ve got to place some limits. So, apologies, but it’s U.S.A. only for this sale.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now without further ado, let’s get to the new batch of knives.
And please remember to email me (at address listed above) rather than PM-ing me.
Thanks for helping the pups!
Andrew
These 6 knives are a very generous contribution from my friend and esteemed BF member in North Texas. He is very knife knowledgeable and I’m honored that he supports this sale. He has asked to remain anonymous.
1) Grohmann R340S Lockback in Rosewood. 4” closed. My generous donor recalls that he had carbon in mind when he bought this knife, although the current Grohmann website describes it as “high carbon stainless steel”. But the accompanying paperwork says that the high carbon content in their stainless knives can allow for some staining if liquids are left on them, which seemed to suggest carbon. So I emailed Grohmann for clarification and they replied that the R340S is indeed stainless and pointed me to a section of their website which says: Pocket & Lockblades: Other european steels somewhat comparable to AUS6 are used in the pocket and lock knives. Rockwell hardness 56-58 degrees is maintained throughout all of the Outdoor knives.
Beautiful rosewood covers and scored nickel silver bolsters. Saber ground blade with very nice jimping and swedge. Locks up solid with no play. Very comfortable in hand. My donor says he carried it once or twice, and under a loupe it looks like the edge may have been touched up. But it is in excellent, almost new condition. Gorgeous knife from the legendary Canadian company.
Includes box and paperwork. $65.00 SOLD
2) Case #06247PEN in Brown Jigged Bone. 3 7/8” closed. Carbon steel blades. Single spring. Year of manufacture is 1978 per my reading of this table: W.R. Case & Sons Pocket Knife Age Identification (allaboutpocketknives.com) Blades have rub marks. Also some rust spots, most notably on mark side of master clip blade. Very attractive vintage knife.
Please note: The pull on both blades is very strong. My donor was able to open it without any damage to his nails but my fingers and nails aren’t as stout, and when I first received it I needed mechanical assistance. But after a couple of days of “spring stretching” (leaving the blades in half open position) I can now open the master clip (not yet on the pen). I suspect that more “stretching” time, and oiling and working it, will further loosen things up but I’ll leave that to the new owner.
No box. $49.00 SOLD
