Well, this sales thread is going to be a little different. I have been inspired by all the giveaways and other acts of kindness and generosity here in the trads forum, and it is the season, after all, so here's what I'm going to do. We are dog lovers in my family, always have been, always will be. I do what I can to support our local Austin Humane Society, which does excellent work for the pups (and other critters): http://www.austinhumanesociety.org/ After this sale is over, I will total the gross proceeds (before PP fees, shipping, etc.), and then I will double it. I will then donate that amount to the AHS, and will post the receipt here in the thread, to show I kept my commitment and didn't blow it on knives!
And yes, I ran this by our friendly neighborhood supermod, who gave me the green light (thanks, Mike).
So, up for your holiday consideration, we have:
1) Moki Pliant in Quince Wood. I recently bought this beautiful knife, along with another Moki, from klineh, an excellent member here on the forum. I have not used, carried, or sharpened it since receiving it a few days ago. I can't improve on Jon's description or gorgeous pics, so I'll let them do the talking and showing: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1014852-SOLD-Moki-Blakiston-s-Fish-Owl-Micarta-Lockback-Moki-Pliant-Chinese-Quince-Lockback It is just too pretty to use, so I'm reluctantly going to let it go.
Includes very nice sheath and box as shown. $65.00 Correction: $60.00 SOLD
2) Al Mar Hawk in Cocobolo. This knife has been sharpened and used very lightly. It is a little jewel.
Includes Al Mar leather pocket sheath as shown. $75.00 SOLD
3) A.G. Russell Curved Regular Jack in Amber Bone (Zulu Spear). This knife likewise has been sharpened and used lightly. I wrote up a mini review of it, with pics, here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-Curved-Regular-Jack-(Zulu-Spear)-Mini-Review
Includes box. $45.00 SOLD

These last four knives were included in a thread where I discussed my recent foray into vintage Japanese lockbacks: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1012753-A-Few-Vintage-Japanese-Lockbacks They all have been cleaned, oiled, polished, and sharpened. Each has taken a nice edge. They all have a slight amount of vertical blade play when pressed hard against a hard surface, as is very common with lockbacks.
4) IC Cut Coast Cutlery 9100. A big handsome knife at 4.25" closed and 5.4 oz.
No box. $30.00 SOLD
5) American Blade AB-8. 4.00" closed and 2.7 oz. A bit more blade scratching on this one, and a little more friction in the open and close. But, a solid knife, and comfortable in the hand.
Includes box. $20.00 $17.00 WITHDRAWN
6) Frost Barracuda. 3.375" closed and 1.8 oz. Nice etching on the sharp hollow ground blade, and pretty sandalwood scales.
