Hey guys, I just realized that I have never heard this word spoken. When you talk about this knife, do you say the letters like A.F.C.K. or do you try and pronounce it like Afeck, or something. Thanks.

I think it is an acronym for Advanced Folding Combat Knife.

aflatfoot,

That part I knew. I am just interested in how people use the word when spoken. Thanks for the comment, though.

Well, in my mind that tries to place a word to everything, it comes out 'afeck.' Just as when I see CRKT or REKAT my mind says 'cricket' and 'rekat.'

When I'm speaking of them, I use the initials or say the company's full name though. Otherwise nobody would know what I'm talking about.

I say A.F.C.K. Or just call it by its model number (800 right?). For CRKT stuff, I say Columbia River, sometimes I say Cricket (rarely).

I like to pronounce it wit' a east european accent, like Auf-Chick.
