Just received an email that my M390 AFCK has shipped! Yahoo! I've been looking forward to this one for a while.

Good to hear! I paid for mine a couple months ago (before they stopped collecting payments because of delays), so hopefully I'll be getting a shipment notification of my own very soon.

Black or satin blade?

I have a satin I haven't heard about yet.

Update: got the shipment confirmation email about an hour ago! :D

Well...for those who have them, what do you think?

I saw a YouTube clip on one, but haven't heard much else (unless I missed a thread). I'm still waiting for my mine, so would love to hear some thoughts on it.

I received mine 2 weeks ago. I wasn't sure I'd like such a big blade. So far I'm loving it. It carries well. Action is extremely smooth.

This was my first AFCK. I now understand what the fuss was about.

Definitely a keeper!

Congrats guys! I really liked the AFCK when it was first introduced "back in the day." Wish I'd kept mine.

Still awaiting mine... I was losing hope for a while so I'm glad to see them getting delivered.

I'm still waiting but I pre-ordered late ;) I hope they are getting better at building them as I wait for mine :D HA!

I got mine awhile back, from the first shipment the dealer received

One side of the axis bar locks up slightly further than the other, but other than that, it's very nice.

Just got mine today! The sharpness out of the box is impressive!
I have a few of these M390 AFCKs and that was the first thing that I noticed as well. All four are up there in sharpness with the sharpest out-of-the box Spydercos I've received. I'm not overly concerned about factory edge sharpness, since for knives I'll be using I usually put my own bevel/edge on them on my Edge Pro before use anyway. But, all else being equal, it's still nice to see that Benchmade is stepping up their game in this regard.

They're even sharper with a 25* mirror edge :D

It stays sharp very long there. I'm going to drop it lower once it's dull.

I noticed the same thing after getting more acquainted with mine. The lockbar travels a little higher on the left side.

Thanks, I was wondering if I was alone with that. Mine is higher on the right side (assuming the sides are defined looking down from the top).
