AFCK M2 steel

To start with, I believe the model 710 was the first with M2. I have had mine over a year, it is marked 360 of 400. As for sharpening, diamond all the way. ATS 34 responses well to a DMT fine, unless it needs to be re-beveled, then go slow and light with the medium. Follow this up with EX Fine or fine ceramic. Last but not least strop the edge to remove the wire. M2 is just as easy to sharpen, but I typically stop with the Fine diamond. This steel is weird. It can be made to shave, but not as readily as ATS34. However it will still cut long after ATS34 has dulled. A friend cleaned 4 deer last season without touching up the edge.
