Found this posted elsewhere, I was wondering if anyone could help me identify the make/model name? It looks like a quality and very expensive blade, but well made.

Huh, and here I thought I heard something about a Spyderco flipper. Oh well, I guess the first to go is memory.

I believe that is an AWT model, but I could be wrong. I've seen an AWT but it had a thumbstud, not a spydie hole. Then again, he will make it any way you like. Arguably the smoothest action on any folder I have ever fondled, along with Brian Fellhoelter's Fotoku. I believe they use the same or similar IKBS pivots.

As far as acquisition, hard to come by. Don't see many of them on the secondary market.

That's a special prototype. I believe based on the AWT but modified.
Brad's stuff is very hard to get unless you're on his list (which is now closed) or keep your eyes peeled to a couple of dealers that occasionally carry his knives.
Got to be fast because his work sells within minutes of being posted.
In my biased opinion (I've got 11 of his knives) he makes the finest custom folders I've ever experienced.

ive heard that this knife will be a collaboration between Mr. Southard and spyderco. Im sure it wont be as fancy as this knife above is, but it will have the same basic characteristics.

That seems about right.
I got to see this proto at Blade with Sal and his son and it was incredible.
