    AFCK AXIS

With this review you will have the chance to improve your french with our first lesson of french applicated to "coutellerie".

    Hummmmm let's look at it:
    0.125 inches of blade thickness
compared to the 0'115 used on recent folders since the BM910....,

My Gad, this is a very serious business:
you got a design which has been acclaim since 1995 (Mark Mcwillis and Chris Carracy's colloboration)
You got n ergonomy which is legendary especially for reverse grip.
You got one of the strongest lock: the Axis Lock
You got D2 an air hardenned Alloy which has been used with great reliability by legendary knifemakers.

The Advanced French Cooking Knife is born again!

SO let's ask Fred Perrin what he has made with it:

First Fred would like to thank Benchmade to let us the opportunity to try and test their AFCK with D2 blade.

Fred alawys love the AFCK even with a liner lock. WHen he first test the axis lock he always wished to have it adapted on the AFCK.

The ergonomy is as good as before. The weight is OK not to heavy. The blade is easy to unfold thanks to the oval hole and he likes the BT2 for its military use and the rustproof protection. Also he like the combo blade for its extreme polyvalence.

    cqc "

Fred uses the AFCK for a lot of task : cutting ropes, straps, cardborad, but also he uses it in his CQC workshops.

He does demo with Pig's Heads and use his knife in thrust and slashes to show the damage of a blade attack. So he has evaluate how well the axis lock is safe but also how the grip is safe.

To show the power of live blades to professionals he also stabbed his AFCK into kevlar jackets. He does to show them the limits of their equipements. Also he uses his afck as a throwing knife at a 2 meters range.

After all of this, Fred AFCK kept its razor edge. The serrations are useful especially for soldiers and profesionnal in security who need to cut fast into the fiberous materials, especially for a rescue mission.
Also the serration perfectly works underwater.

Fred open the AFCK with a quick rotation of his wrist. Inertial openings are easy and really practical when you wear gloves.
Also he use this technique in very close range CQC techniques.

Fred also use an elastic lanyard on his AFCK , because he can put his hands through with more ease. He needed this security while he has used its AFCK crossing a river.

Fred thinks the AFCK is a top choice for professional soldiers, policemen and sportsmen. The quality is top notch.

You see french is not difficult to spek especially about knives and edges.

    So say "Fromage"...

    cheers,

    JM

    Hello Nemo,
Fred always did like to throw things with pointy ends.
Nice to hear from you again and thanks for the French lesson. It
would probably be better for me if some one would read it to me :), especially if it had the bouncing ball.
